Frequently Asked Questions

Starting up a relationship with a brand-new dental practice can be a tricky process, and we understand that you probably have a lot of questions about what we do and what we can offer your smile. At Jacksonville Complete Dentistry, our team is always happy to provide plenty of answers! Take a look at our FAQs below to learn more, and if you’re still left wondering, you are more than welcome to call us directly.

Why do I have to visit a dentist twice a year?

Many dental problems just aren’t that noticeable to untrained eyes in their early stages. By being able to check out your smile at regular intervals during checkups and cleanings, our doctors can catch and treat damage right away, helping you maintain a healthier smile over time. Being proactive about your oral health can actually save you a ton of money and time in the future!

Will I have to see a separate specialist if I want dental implants?

Not at all! Our doctors are perfectly capable of performing every stage of your dental implant treatment right here in-office, including the surgical portion.

What kinds of dentures do you offer?

Several options are available, including traditional full and partial prosthetics, overdentures, and implant-retained dentures. Our team will be happy to help you determine which option is right for your unique needs during a consultation.

Can you help me improve the way my smile looks?

Definitely. Our practice features several dazzling cosmetic options that can get rid of frustrating dental flaws and leave your look beautifully refreshed, including metal-free restorations, teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, and even Botox and dermal fillers!

I’m experiencing a lot of jaw pain. How do you treat that?

Chronic jaw discomfort is typically a sign of bruxism (teeth grinding) or TMJ disorder. These conditions can be treated with the consistent use of an oral appliance that cushions the teeth and helps reset the jaw into a more proper position. Occlusal (bite) adjustments and Botox treatment can also work wonders in helping patients finally achieve a comfortable bite again.

Is it true that a dentist can treat my sleep apnea?

Yes, if they have the right experience and training! We’re capable of treating mild to moderate OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) with custom oral appliances here in Jacksonville so that our tired patients can finally achieve the deep, uninterrupted rest they deserve.
